Jim Snyder
Middays, Evenings
Jim’s love for radio began back in the early to mid 70s. And through the years, he's learned the craft of bringing voice to the airwaves all the way to Waterloo Region.
“I remember growing up riding around in my parents’ station wagon; listening to guys like Bill Gable, Ted “The Bear” Richards, and SuperMax on CKLW-out of the Windsor/Detroit area. It seemed like the radio was always on and I couldn’t help to think about how fun it would be to sit and play records all day. It sounded like a really cool way to make a living,” Jim laments.
The journey started at the local high school radio station in his home town of Toledo Ohio. Jim then, attended the University of Toledo where he spent a lot of time at the campus radio station. He completed his formal education at the “Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts” in Detroit Michigan. Since graduating from Specs; Jim’s career has taken him to stations in Toledo, and Columbus Ohio; as well as Cheyenne Wyoming, Charleston South Carolina and most recently Brantford, Ontario.
When Jim isn’t at the station, he enjoys spending time with his wife Sarah, attending various sporting events, loves to travel and also studies Meteorology. Jim is also very involved with his church, and is always glad to help out with various events and organizations in the community.
